Sessions for Youth Orchestras
It becomes more and more natural to introduce healthy playing strategies in youth orchestra settings. This is especially important because those rehearsal periods often require a substantial increas in playing hours.
Here, it is very important to enhance one's awareness on healthy sitting and playing posture, on beneficial movement behavior, on warm-up and cool-down exercises, relaxation techniques and a balance between playing and resting.
My course can be rendered prior to an intensive rehearsal period as well as consecutively to rehearsing. It encompasses both group instruction with more general concepts, exercises and back-ground information as well as individual sessions with an analysis of instrument-specific practicing and playing behavior.
